Job Interview Simulation

Hi everyone! Any excitement recently? I had this excitement a few weeks ago, when we, the students did a Job Interview Simulation with our English teacher, Mr. Achdi. I was so nervous at first but I think I did a pretty good job eventually. My teacher played a role as an employer, and I played the applicant. This simulation aims to provide students with an overview of job applications in real life. Interesting right?

If I'm not mistaken, I was the fourth applicant. I was relieved by the fact that I wasn't the first applicant to be interviewed. When the interview started, the employer began to ask me questions. I think the conversation went like this:

employer: Tell me about yourself!

We ought to answer this question in a less personal way, such as:

applicant: My name is Almadeena Maritza, I live in Bogor. After graduating from Queen's University Belfast with an architectural degree, I work as an intern in Wilson Architecture.

employer: Why should we employ you?

this is the opportunity to describe the most advantageous skill you have for the company.

applicant: I believe that I have all of the skills and experience that you're looking for. I can operate ArchiCAD, I have experience working with both residential and commercial facilities. I'm also passionate about this industry and I'm driven to deliver high-quality work.

employer: tell me your greatest strength!

self-confidence is needed but not overly confident.

applicant: I can communicate with either client and team members efficiently and able to understand what they are looking for in a design.

employer: describes your related experience!

experience based on your CV.

applicant: I work as an intern at Wilson Architecture for 6 months. I assisted in the preparation of blueprints, and sketches. For the last 3 years, I have worked at Scott Tallon Worker Architects as an Architectural Technologist. I was responsible for making sketches, diagrams, design quantity calculations, schematic drawings, and final working drawings.

employer: How do you handle conflict in the workplace?

applicant: I would like to discuss the problem with my team member to find reasonable solutions to any architectural problems that occur. I'd also like to ensure that the job is being done correctly to avoid major issues at the end.

employer: Is it possible to work with others for certain projects?

applicant: It is indeed very possible for me to work in a team. I am a people-person myself, so I enjoy working with others. I am capable of leading a team to achieve goals.

And that's how the interview simulation was done. I hope you leave a comment about a particular mistake in my writing so I can fix it. See you!
